The global share of mobile devices in online activity is <a style=\"color: #333333;\" href=\"https:\/\/www.statista.com\/statistics\/306528\/share-of-mobile-internet-traffic-in-global-regions\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\"><strong>52.64%<\/strong><\/a>. It is estimated that every day we spend almost <a style=\"color: #333333;\" href=\"https:\/\/www.emarketer.com\/corporate\/coverage\/be-prepared-mobile\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\"><strong>3.5\u00a0hours<\/strong><\/a> using the Internet through mobile devices. In 2018 this time will be further extended.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-14335 alignnone\" src=\"https:\/\/selectivv.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/08\/69-of-time-is-mobile-EN.jpg\" alt=\"Marketing mobilny - Statystyki 2018\" width=\"800\" height=\"800\" \/><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #333333;\">We cannot imagine life without a smartphone. <strong><a style=\"color: #333333;\" href=\"https:\/\/www2.deloitte.com\/content\/dam\/Deloitte\/us\/Documents\/technology-media-telecommunications\/us-tmt-globar-mobile-consumer-survey-2017-infographic.pdf\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">89%<\/a><\/strong> of people use a smartphone while watching TV.\u00a0 For\u00a0 <strong><a style=\"color: #333333;\" href=\"https:\/\/nectafy.com\/mobile-marketing-trends-mash-up\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">88%<\/a><\/strong> of tourists\u00a0 smartphone is the most important thing, without it they cannot imagine their journey. With only one click in application we order a taxi, or more often we make payments through device. Social media, games, video are the most popular contents on mobile showing both <strong>Selectivv website<\/strong> internal data and research, such as <strong>ComScore<\/strong>. It is also important to remember about two global players that have dominated the ranking of applications. Google and Facebook have 9 of the 10 most popular applications in the world (data from Statista).<\/span><\/p>\n<h3><span style=\"color: #333333;\"><strong>The importance of mobile applications<\/strong><\/span><\/h3>\n<p><span style=\"color: #333333;\">According to App Annie, more than <a style=\"color: #333333;\" href=\"https:\/\/www.appannie.com\/en\/insights\/market-data\/predictions-app-economy-2018\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\"><strong>3.5\u00a0million<\/strong><\/a> applications are currently available on Google Play, while Apple App Store has over <strong><a style=\"color: #333333;\" href=\"https:\/\/www.appannie.com\/en\/insights\/market-data\/predictions-app-economy-2018\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">2\u00a0million<\/a><\/strong>. According to Statista data, both stores last year recorded <strong><a style=\"color: #333333;\" href=\"https:\/\/www.statista.com\/statistics\/271644\/worldwide-free-and-paid-mobile-app-store-downloads\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">197\u00a0billion<\/a> <\/strong>downloads, and by 2021 this number will increase to over <a style=\"color: #333333;\" href=\"https:\/\/www.statista.com\/statistics\/271644\/worldwide-free-and-paid-mobile-app-store-downloads\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\"><strong>350\u00a0billion<\/strong><\/a>. Analyzing the statistics, one can conclude that the generally known 80\/20 rule also works in the case of mobile.<strong> <a style=\"color: #333333;\" href=\"https:\/\/www.comscore.com\/Insights\/Presentations-and-Whitepapers\/2017\/The-Global-Mobile-Report\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">80%<\/a><\/strong> of the time we spend in this channel using <strong><a style=\"color: #333333;\" href=\"https:\/\/www.comscore.com\/Insights\/Presentations-and-Whitepapers\/2017\/The-Global-Mobile-Report\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">20%<\/a><\/strong> of mobile applications installed on the phone. The average user has <strong>5<\/strong> favorite applications. It is worth noting that the first most frequently downloaded application is active for <strong>45%<\/strong> of the time, and the fifth one is only for <strong>4%<\/strong>.<\/span><\/p>\n<h3><span style=\"color: #333333;\"><strong>Social media and portable devices<\/strong><\/span><\/h3>\n<p><span style=\"color: #333333;\">It turns out that more than <strong><a style=\"color: #333333;\" href=\"http:\/\/www.comscore.com\/Insights\/Presentations-and-Whitepapers\/2016\/2016-US-Cross-Platform-Future-in-Focus\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">80%<\/a><\/strong> of time we spend in social media on mobile devices. <strong>54%<\/strong> of FB users use the application to view content on the site. <a style=\"color: #333333;\" href=\"http:\/\/www.adweek.com\/digital\/facebook-raked-in-9-16-billion-in-ad-revenue-in-the-second-quarter-of-2017\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\"><strong>87%<\/strong><\/a> of the revenue from advertising displayed on the site is generated by mobile. The difference in the use of technology can be seen between users of Twitter and LinkedIn. Even <strong>82%<\/strong> of the first use the service through a mobile application, while others choose a desktop - only <strong>41%<\/strong> actively use the application.<\/span><\/p>\n<h3><span style=\"color: #333333;\"><strong>Searches on smartphones and tablets<\/strong><\/span><\/h3>\n<p><span style=\"color: #333333;\">Statistics indicate the growing advantage of mobile technologies in case of Google search. Their number on mobile devices has already exceeded half of all queries. A lot of them involve local searches. <a style=\"color: #333333;\" href=\"https:\/\/nectafy.com\/mobile-marketing-trends-mash-up\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\"><strong>88%<\/strong><\/a> of people who are looking for information about services or products \u00a0in the nearest area use search results or visit a given location within <strong>24 hours<\/strong>.<\/span><\/p>\n<h3><span style=\"color: #333333;\"><strong>Mobile is important for trade<\/strong><\/span><\/h3>\n<p><span style=\"color: #333333;\">The most active group of smartphone and tablet users are people cover an age range of <strong>18-39 years<\/strong>. In this group, up to <a style=\"color: #333333;\" href=\"http:\/\/www.aumcore.com\/blog\/2017\/10\/06\/mobile-marketing-statistics-for-2018\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\"><strong>69%<\/strong><\/a> of users start their shopping on a mobile device. <strong>44%<\/strong> of them use a tablet to find the right offer. Already <strong>70%<\/strong> of users declare that before making a purchase in a traditional way, they first look for information about the product they are interested in on their mobile device. Studies also imply that while staying in a stationary store <a style=\"color: #333333;\" href=\"https:\/\/marketingland.com\/survey-90-percent-of-retail-shoppers-use-smartphones-in-stores-135759\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\"><strong>90%<\/strong><\/a> of consumers use a smartphone. During this time <strong>54%<\/strong> of them compare prices, <strong>48%<\/strong> look for additional product information, and <strong>42%<\/strong> check opinions on the viewed product. Knowing that mobile devices are an increasingly important in the purchase process, it is worth asking the question, what actions are able to encourage users to visit a particular store or take advantage of a given offer? It turns out that for <strong>57%<\/strong> an attractive incentive would be the availability of \u00a0mobile \u00a0coupons, and <strong>76%<\/strong> would buy in a given store, if a loyalty program was available in the mobile channel. Only in 2016, mobile devices, excluding tablets, brokered sales of <a style=\"color: #333333;\" href=\"https:\/\/www.forrester.com\/Mobile+Will+Influence+14+Trillion+In+Offline+Sales+By+2021\/-\/E-PRE9694\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\"><strong>60 billion dollars<\/strong><\/a>. This is only a fraction of <a style=\"color: #333333;\" href=\"https:\/\/www.forrester.com\/Mobile+Will+Influence+14+Trillion+In+Offline+Sales+By+2021\/-\/E-PRE9694\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\"><strong>1.05 billion dollars<\/strong><\/a> from traditional sales. It is estimated that this amount will increase up to <a style=\"color: #333333;\" href=\"https:\/\/www.forrester.com\/Mobile+Will+Influence+14+Trillion+In+Offline+Sales+By+2021\/-\/E-PRE9694\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\"><strong>10 billion dollars<\/strong><\/a> in 2021.<\/span><\/p>\n<h3><span style=\"color: #333333;\"><strong>Mobile marketing in 2018<\/strong><\/span><\/h3>\n<p><span style=\"color: #333333;\">The latest forecasts assume that <a style=\"color: #333333;\" href=\"https:\/\/www.zenithmedia.com\/mobile-forecasts-75-internet-use-will-mobile-2017\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\"><strong>60%<\/strong><\/a> of online advertising in the coming year will be dedicated to the mobile sector. The above statistics show that advertising campaigns for mobile devices are one of the most important challenges in the coming year.
